Kelly Cornett of A Cork in the Road is back in the Epicurean Theatre to host a Friendsgiving complete with wine tasting, festive small plates & wine pairing tips to use around your own table this holiday season!

Tickets are $65 per person – each ticket includes an educational tasting of 6 wines, a trio of Thanksgiving-inspired plates, and holiday wine pairing recs from Kelly and Joe! So, join us with your family & friends OR come solo & make new ones at A Perfectly Paired Friendsgiving!

Each dish will be paired with two different wines (Kelly’s pairing pick -VS- Joe’s pairing pick) for a total of six wine tastings over three courses.

ABOUT THE TALENT

Kelly Cornett, A Cork in the Road  – Kelly Cornett of A Cork in the Road is a wine events and media consultant based in Atlanta with 10+ years of experience working in a wide range of roles in the wine industry from production to education. She used to manage a winery in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, but now she serves as Atlanta’s local wine concierge by designing pairings for wine dinners, teaching classes, and hosting tasting experiences – both in-person and virtually. She also hosts the “A Cork in the Road” Podcast that highlights people who are shaping the Southeast wine industry. Joe Herrig, Georgia Crown Distributing Company – Joe Herrig is a Certified Sommelier, Certified Specialist of Wine, and a Diploma candidate with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. He has over a decade of experience in the Atlanta wine wholesale industry, and currently serves as the Director of Education for Georgia Crown Distributing Company. Joe was a finalist in the 2022 Atlanta “Somm Smackdown” Blind Tasting competition, and has been practicing the skill formally for the past nine years.

Henry Tapia, Director of Food & Beverage at Epicurean Atlanta – Chef Tapia, who oversees all food & beverage operations for Epicurean Atlanta, brings over 10 years of experience working in the finest hotel kitchens on both the East and West Coast. Prior to that, he spent a decade in the central region of Mexico, specifically Puebla, where he worked at his mother’s restaurant and cultivated a passion for cooking from the heart with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients – this same passion influenced his approach to Epicurean Atlanta’s culinary excellence.
