Culinary Summertime Journey through Georgia featuring Creature Comforts Brewing Co.
WHO: Epicurean Atlanta in Midtown, the new Trilith Guesthouse in Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, Hotel Forty Five in downtown Macon, and Creature Comforts Brewing Co.
WHAT: Take a journey through the flavors of summertime with a seasonally focused culinary experience at three popular Georgia hotels. Chef Henry Tapia of Epicurean Atlanta has carefully curated a five-course dinner menu to pair perfectly with Creature Comforts Brewing Co.’s Curious Collection of dynamic, small batch, and most distinctly curious beers. Live cooking demonstrations of the first course will be available in the Epicurean Theatre at Epicurean Atlanta and The Kitchen at Trilith Guesthouse.
Tickets are $75 per person and include:
Amuse: Crab Arancini (smoked paprika & piquillo and yuzu gelee) paired with Creature Comforts Summer, an easy-drinking shandy bursting with lemon notes, perfect for hot, sunny days.
First Course: Pink Aguachile (yellowfin tuna, fermented plum & chili, pickled hibiscus pear, radish, raspberry emulsion, beet and pomegranate foam) paired with Creature Comforts Twenty Mile Drive, a weissbier brewed with Georgia-grown wheat, just a “twenty-mile drive” away.
Second Course: Chili Thai Mussels (coconut milk, ginger, chili garlic, cilantro and grilled read) paired with Creature Comforts Harmonia, a German-style pilsner brewed using traditional lagering techniques, making it crisp, smooth and hop-forward.
Third Course: Seared Duck (fennel puree, asparagus, mango & jicama relish and blood orange gastrique) paired with Creature Comforts Nelson Romance, a complex and delicious beer that combines Nelson hops from New Zealand with a classic saison to create a refreshing, dry tropical mélange.
Dessert: Strawberry Tartlet (lemon cheesecake, strawberry coulis and basil seed) paired with Creature Comforts Neon Cylinders, a vibrantly hot pink sour ale with a flavor profile built on the summer classic, pink lemonade, blended beautifully with lemon, strawberry, hibiscus and raspberry.
